The high school senior plays football, baseball and wrestles for the Crusaders all while working a part-time job at The Venetian in Garfield.
It can be hard to find time for it all, Santos said, but he just has to make the time.
One of his latest achievements includes winning his 100th match for the wrestling team, just the third Elmwood Park student to do so.
"It was crazy," Santos told Daily Voice. "I only started wrestling freshman year. I only won nine matches my first year. To go from nine to 100 in three years is pretty great."
He credited his coaches and everyone else in town for his success.
Tom Mulligan, Elmwood Park's football and wrestling coach, said Santos is a "coachable kid."
"He's always the first one there, the last-one-out type," Mulligan said. "He's very selfless when he's on the field and on the mat. He's going to be really missed next year."
His coach noted that Santos recently made the honor roll as well.
The star athlete has one more season to go with Elmwood Park's baseball team as an outfielder.
Next year Santos said he plans to play football for Kean University.
"It's going to be just like high school again," Santos said of adjusting to college life. "Starting out as a freshman, having to learn a whole different playbook and working my way to the top."
